CHHOTI & SAKRI SUMTI

LODI PERIOD (1451-1526)

Situated across each other at the Green Park Main entrance, Chhoti Gumti has beautiful clove patterns near the dome, a classic pattern in most structures built during the Lodi Period (1451-1526). Sakri means "narrow" in Persian and could be a gateway to its adjacent buildings. The stone at the entrance door shows worn-out carvings of a seated Mahavira.
